Blinding numbers this week after the sparse return the previous match. Seven played against six. No need for rush keeper.
We are creating a new type of player, one who will be better, stronger and faster than ever before. What will happen when every team is able to compute their opponent's game? Only one thing can happen, the games will end in stalemates. However this was not destined to happen so soon. With 15 minutes to go it was 6 - 3 to the Bibs. With only seven minutes to go the score stood at Bibs 6 - Muftis 4. VIIGeorgeVII philosophically observed that all that the Bibs would need to do is park a Mourinho bus and see the match out. His team mates agreed and kindly left him the keys to park the bus by himself. Muftis scored to bring the match to a nail biting conclusion. At 6 - 5 it was anyone's game still. The next teams arrived but they never seem to hurry these days and we respect them for that. With their momentum up and sensing a remarkable comeback the Muftis scored again 6 - 6 . The bus had been towed away and the stunning comeback was complete.
We had played out a 6 - 6 all draw with the Muftis pulling themselves back into the match by sheer will power.
Match declared a noble draw.
Muftis 6 – Yellow Bibs 6
Lesson three in the Tottenham Wednesday players handbook - '3. Some nights a team must leave everything on the pitch'.
Let's do it all again next match at Tottenham Wednesday FC
Things To Note
Next month is the anniversary of one of the most comprehensive displays of football by any team in our recorded history. The 14 September Cometh. Come back Danny, Dave and Mark all is forgiven, we cannot fully recover until each of you has returned and scored a goal on your home ground.
